Improving the Flight Nurse New Hire Experience

Flying Angels is a medical transportation company which operates remotely. They send flight nurses all over the world on missions where they accompany patients on commercial airline flights.

My analysis of new hire feedback and support requests found that new flight nurses were medically trained but struggling to understand the transport experience end-to-end until they went on their first mission. I also found new hires were challenged in locating all necessary resources for the mission process and connecting with other employees when onboarding remotely.

I designed a scenario-driven eLearning to provide a realistic representation of a mission ride-along to strengthen understanding of the mission process and provide an opportunity for learners to practice using the resource I created.

I also incorporated social media via a private group so that new hires could connect and ask questions of other experienced flight nurses.
