Upskilling College Staff
in Digital Literacy
College staff had previously completed training on 21st Century Learning Skills: Communication, Collaboration, Creativity, and Critical Thinking. However, feedback showed they were confused about how technology and digital literacy were relevant to the integration of these skills.
This secondary course I created teaches learners to :
describe technology skills as they apply to 21st Century learning
explain the difference between foundational and complex skills
give examples of how to apply these skills in life and in the classroom
I integrated technology into the course using QR codes, embedded videos, Storyline interactions, and Padlet discussions to engage learners and demonstrate course concepts.
